WNBA AND THE 2010 LILITH TOUR UNITE TO CELEBRATE FEMALE ARTISTS AND ATHLETES ALL SUMMER LONG

NEW YORK, June 8, 2010 -- The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the 2010 Lilith Tour -- one of the highest-grossing touring festivals in the world -- will join forces to celebrate female artists and athletes all summer long through special ticket promotions, appearances, and community activations.
WNBA Expanding to Chicago in 2006
CHICAGO, February 8 - NBA Commissioner David Stern announced today that the city of Chicago has been awarded a WNBA team for the 2006 season. The new team will be primarily owned and operated by Chicago businessman Michael Alter, with a select group of local investors serving as minority owners.

Chicago Sky Chooses 13 Players in Expansion Draft
Chicago—The Chicago Sky has chosen 13 players in the WNBA Expansion Draft. The well-rounded group includes veterans, younger players, and European stars. Stacey Dales-Schuman, a former All-Star with the Washington Mystics and a broadcaster for ESPN, is coming out of retirement to join the new team.
