
Summer’s over and school has begun…but at the Girls Basketball Combine Camp that was held at Neighborhood House of Greater Milwaukee, school is always in session.
Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 14 to watch "i.am FIRST: Science is Rock & Roll"--a back-to-school TV special about FIRST, airing on the ABC TV Network at 7PM ET.
The program is a ground breaking, one-hour special promoting education, science, and technology and features an electric hour of highlights from the 20th Annual FIRST Championship.

Sadly, some people worry that girls are too delicate, unskilled, or inadequate to play sports. To which the smart father and stepfather reply: "Baloney."
Girls for a Change was in Milwaukee to conduct the Love Your Body, Change the World training program sponsored by U by Kotex. The training was a guide for being proud of everything that makes you a healthy, powerful young woman, including your passion for creating social change in your community. Thanks in part to Alverno College Research Center for Women and Girls, the Girls in Charge Coalition, African American Women Fund Project and IOU Sports for creating this short intro film.

Madison — The voting went as expected.
Racine Case senior Samantha Logic won the Miss Basketball award from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association, an honor that goes to the best player in the state.
She was presented with the honor before the Division 1 championship game Saturday at the Kohl Center.
The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 14.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Eagles. They went 22-3 and won a sectional title for the second straight year before losing to Milwaukee Pius in a Super Tuesday game.
Program is for girls grades 3rd-8th and is free for all participants. Space is limited to 200...

Images of Us (IOU) Sports is inviting girls ages 13 - 18 to our gender responsive forum offering girls a safe place to be with other girls.
The goal of this event is to teach girls about healthy balanced relationships. Additionally, this event will empower girls to assess their friendships and relationships and make informed decisions by asking the question, "If I were a Boy?"
