Just added to the Game on - Literary Arts and Jazz .... the Women's Sports Talk Show will be broadcasting live!!!! Women's Sports Talk Radio "Where Fans Come To Talk!
And...KRTU 91.7 Jazz for San Antonio will be spreading the news about our event. While you're in San Antonio turn your radio dial to KRTU 91.7 a non-profit organization who mission is to support and enhance the academic curriculum, especially that offered by the Department of Communication, and to advance Trinity University's leadership in the fine arts and dissemination of knowledge for the enrichment its students and the greater San Antonio community. KRTU seeks to achieve this mission through quality radio programming, informed commentary, community-events notifications and sponsorship of prestigious local events.
The field of four teams are being set. Plane tickets bought. Fans are gathering in San Antonio and IOU Sports will host its first "Literary Arts and Jazz" event on April 5th at the newly remodeled Drink Cocktail Bar.
We will showcase authors from across the nation to fullfil your literary pleasure, artwork that represent female athletes, and hot jazz music that will cool off the evening. Join us at Drink Cocktail Bar during the women's final's in San Antonio, TX for great drink specials, food, and 4 TV screens to watch the men's finals. Cover charge is $10

Play Through the Foul – Basketball Lessons for the Game of Life by Vera Jones
Audiences large and small, across the country have been captivated and motivated by this “naturally gifted” public speaker, award-winning television and radio broadcaster, and Hall of Fame athlete. Vera is most notably known for her extensive background in broadcasting serving as a National Collegiate Athletic Association and WNBA Basketball Color Analyst and Reporter. In 2009, she released her second book along with AJ Ali, “The True Champion’s 30-Day Challenge – Spiritual Preparation for the Game of Your Life.” Vera currently spends the NCAA Women’s Basketball season broadcasting for the Big Ten Network.

Christine is currently the director of Public Relations and Marketing at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York and is considered an expert on the subject of women’s basketball. She was named one of Rockland County's Forty Under 40 by the Journal News and the Rockland Economic Development Corporation and was a 2009 finalist for the nationally recognized Billie Awards by the Women's Sports Foundation. Christine is currently completing her second book, entitled iRules: Etiquette for the Digital Music Revolution, with co-author, Karen Eilbacher.
The Ultimate No No and the Ultimate Moment No Regrets by Tamika Newhouse Tamika made her publishing debut under the AAMBC Publications, which publishes anthologies showcasing various authors’ talents. She is currently the CEO of Delphine Publications and can be heard on the syndicated AAMBC Radio, where she interviews new and seasoned authors. The show showcases many of the author’s talents and their current projects. She is currently working on her third novel Cookie: A Fort Worth Story. She plans to release her fourth novel He was a Bad Idea in Fall of 2010.
Double Pleasure Double Pain & You Make Me Wanna by Nikki Rashan
Described as thoughtful and reflective, Nikki Rashan uses her ability to tap into the depths of human nature to create emotionally honest and passionate stories of love and romance, mixed with bits of humor and suspense. In her writings, Nikki utilizes the energy she experienced through her journey of self-realization. She gained national attention after she told her story on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006 and 2007, where she discussed issues of being a LGBT business woman in America. Nikki is working on her 3rd book Cyber Chase, which will be released sometime mid 2010. Cyber Chase is a drama based on the online social networking scene.
