Season ticket holders for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky were recently treated to an up close and personal meet and greet with new General Manager and head coach, Pokey Chatman. Chatman was met with cheers and applause upon her arrival as fans welcomed her to Chicago, took advantage of photo opportunities, and asked hopeful questions regarding the upcoming 2011 season. Blue and yellow confetti seemed to be the theme of the evening with early dreams and optimism for a championship win.

My Dear Young Athletes, like in all relationships it is all about giving and receiving. If you want to your body to perform at its peak then you need to fuel it with the purest fuel possible. Fruit provides the simplest form of complex sugars. It provides a quick refueling to the body to prevent you from hitting the wall; a term used by athletes to describe dehydration and fatigue. Bananas are great because they provide potassium, which is a great electrolyte to help the body hydrated. Bananas also give a good amount of sugar that will help keep you going.
